One of the famous old restaurant, selling roasted chicken, roasted duck, roasted pork, steamed chicken and Char siu (Cantonese-style barbecued pork) in Serdang, Selangor. I prefer take away, about RM10 per pack. I ordered 1 roasted chicken with fried onions oil rice, 1 mixture of roasted duck & roasted pork with fried onions oil rice and 2 roasted chicken & char siu with fried onions oil rice. Can go with normal plain steamed rice, but I prefer fried onions oil rice.

I tried the chicken rice with char siew and crispy pork. The highlight for me was the pickled cucumber—perfectly sour and still crisp, which added a refreshing touch to the dish. The chicken was tender and juicy, cooked just right. The crispy pork was average, nothing too special, but the char siew stood out—flavorful, well-marinated, and really tasty.

Chicken rice that’s under the radar. Only local knows about this place. This is what I’d call chicken rice that’s different from the rest - from chilies to the pickled cucumber - almost acar like. It’s either you love it or hate it. Your mileage may vary. Ordered half a poached free range chicken, 2 rice and single portion roasted pork. Poached free range chicken - topped with fried shallots, chicken is juicy and tender, pickled cucumber and soy sauce. Soy space is not salty due to the pickled cucumber. To me it blends well however, It’s an acquired taste. I loved it! The chili condiment is one of a kind - green instead of the common red. Fried shallot oil is fragrant and fresh! Adds texture and elevate the taste. Oil rice - rice is fragrant and portioned well. I’d say big. Goes really well with the soy sauce. Roasted pork - big portion, juicy and succulent! Also comes with pickled cucumber. Since this doesn’t come with soy sauce, it tastes more sour than that from the chicken. Place is without AC. Just ceiling fans I reckon the place would be hot and humid when it’s packed with people during lunch time. I reached here at 1030 and I’m 2nd in line. They were busy setting up the stall, earlier pictures only shows poached chicken, then came the pork duck and roasted chicken. Service could be better, faster and more attentive. You have to queue up at the stall to place your order and it can get chaotic as many people come here for takeaway. Atmosphere is not what you’re after. It’s for the food and the nostalgic vibe, see the motorcycle? A legendary stock Pasola and c70! Both still in good working condition. Parking is tricky as the road is narrow. Park like a human being and be prepared for a short walk. The food is well worth it, at least for me. Total for everything I’ve ordered and 2 iced Chinese tea RM63.50 - value for money! I’ve heard people asking for charsiew but it’s only available after 11am. As they’ll only cook it last with slower fire. Will definitely be back for other kind of meat - charsiew and roasted chicken & duck. A rare gem and definitely top 3 chicken rice shop on my list.
